To resolve that, the Boston-bred Regan brothers recently opened the 1600-square-foot Hourglass Tattoo Shop (1680A Mass Ave, Cambridge, 617.868.3300), complete with a PBR-sponsored art gallery where patrons (and paintings) can hang. Of course, this brotherly endeavor makes perfect sense: while Andy Regan is a highly touted New York-trained tattoo artist, his brother Jon has been throwing legendary parties and art shows for two decades under such notable banners as Future Classic. Like the old adage goes, the family that purveys together stays together - especially when they own a tattoo shop and everyone they know is inked from skull to toe.
